Welcome to Cass’s Sassy Sourdough, where every bake is handcrafted with heart, purpose, and just the right amount of sass. I’m Cass, the baker, dreamer, and dough enthusiast behind the brand — but also a proud mom, wife, and member of the Michigan Army National Guard.
Between juggling family life, military service, and a full plate of responsibilities, baking became more than a passion — it became therapy. Each loaf, bagel, and cookie represents the balance between structure and creativity, discipline and love. My kitchen is where I unwind, create, and share the flavors that bring comfort to others.
Everything I bake is done in small batches, made from scratch using quality ingredients and time-honored sourdough methods. Whether it’s a cheddar jalapeño loaf, a classic everything bagel, or a gooey brown butter cookie, each creation is baked fresh, full of flavor, and always with attitude.
For me, baking isn’t just a business — it’s family, faith, and fulfillment. It’s about showing my daughter that passion, hard work, and authenticity can rise just like the perfect loaf.
Cass’s Sassy Sourdough started as a family kitchen experiment that quickly turned into a full-blown love affair with sourdough. Between Army drill weekends, school assignments, and family dinners, I found peace in the rhythm of mixing, kneading, and baking. What began as one loaf for my family grew into a mission to share homemade comfort and creativity with my community.
Every bake tells a story — of long days, late nights, and the kind of love that only comes from serving others, both in uniform and at the kitchen counter. My husband and kids are my biggest taste-testers and cheerleaders, and their support fuels every new flavor I create.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to bring people together with something warm, real, and made with heart.
